We offer a range of pop top roofs with various prices and extras that will help you transform your van into a pop top campervan. The prices below are the standard supply and install costs. All of our pop top roofs come as standard with scenic marine weather canvas, reading lights in the pop top, gel coating in black or white, carpeting the underside of the pop top and a 5 year manufacturer's warranty included in the price below.

Solid colours: If your campervan has a solid non-metallic colour then in most cases we can get the gel coat to match

Metalic colour coding: If your campervan has a metallic colour your roof will need to come in primer coat, then colour matched and spray painted

Carpeting framework: As standard, we carpet the roof ceiling. We can also carpet the metal framework into the top corner of your campervan and match the lining you currently have

6 warm LED lights: If you require 6 LED spotlights to be added to the sides of the roof we can supply and install these.

Standard bed from gas struts: A standard bed frame includes two gas struts with a carpeted high-quality ply bed frame

Bi-fold bedframe and hatch: We make this out of high-quality Ply, piano hinges and 4 gas struts. This double hinged roof bed allows for greater height in the rear of your campervan.

Standard pop top roof bed
Our standard poptop roof bed is made from high quality ply, carpeted and uses the same high grade gas status that the pop top roof uses. This bed is 6ft 6 inches long and suitable to have over 180 kg of weight on it whilst sleeping. This is the ideal option for your average height person. Don't let the entry level of this bed put you off, due to its simple mechanism and its price point, the majority of campervans have this style of bed.
Bi-fold pop top roof bed
Our Bi-Fold Bed option takes the poptop roof bed a step further. We added an extra hinge point and a second set of gas struts. This enables the bed to double hinge when the pop top roof is open, creating evening more head space and headroom. The Bi-fold bed is perfect for those of you who are a little taller and want to maximise the headroom in your campervans when the pop top is up. The Bi-fold roof bed does have a slightly more complex mechanism than the standard pop top roof bed but is still simple and easy to use.
Deluxe sprung pop top roof bed
The Austops Deluxe bed frame is a real game changer when it comes to pop top beds. With their unique slatted and spring system, they have created the comfiest pop top roof bed on the market. We are able to offer a range of solar panels to suit your power needs. The standard fit out we do uses 120w flexi solar panels and a Bluetooth smart charger system. These roofs are designed to be simple to use. All of our pop top roofs work on hydraulic gas struts and the majority work with a strap system to open, close and fix the poptop down. One of our pop top roof installation specialists will run through how to use your pop top roof before the pop top installation and again upon collection/ delivery of your newly installed Austops pop top.
Can I have solar on my pop top?
Yes, you can have solar panels on your campervans poptop roof. We offer a range of different solar options that can be attached to your campervans new poptop roof. The most popular campervan solar set up is a 120W flexi solar panel with a Victron blue tooth smart charger linked to your battery.
Can I have roof bars and roof box on my poptop?
Yes, you can have roof bars for a roof box on your campervans poptop roof. We offer a range of pop top roofs each with a different load rating. All of our poptop roofs can have roof bars attached. Just get in touch and we can talk about getting the right rails on the right pop top for you.
What are the poptop bed options?
There is a range of different types of poptop roof beds you can choose from. The standard poptop bed comes as one piece of high quality carpeted ply that is raised using the same high spec gas struts used on the poptop roof. You can upgrade to a Bi-fold bed frame to give you even more head space. In all Austops poptops you can upgrade further to their deluxe poptop bed, complete with pocket springs. Do pop top roofs leak?
High quality poptops that are TUV pull tested such as Austops, Westdubs and Skyline Poptop roofs installed by accredited and approved fitters like Bearwood Campers should never leak. We have many years of experience fitting and installing poptops to VW’s with no issues of leaking due to the quality of our poptops and our experienced installation team.
Are pop top roofs insulated?
Yes. All of our Austops, Westdubs and Skyline poptop roofs are insulated.
Are pop top roofs noisy?
Not if they are installed correctly and closed fully. No matter if you have an Austops, Westdubs or Skyline pop top roof installed our team will show you how to close your poptop correctly to reduce noise so that you have a quiet ride in your new camper with a pop up roof.
Can I fit a mattress in my poptop?
Yes. You can fit a mattress into all of our Austops, Westdubs and skyline pop top roofs whilst they are closed. We can supply you with a mattress or you can buy your own. Just make sure it is not thicker than 2.5cm.
How to secure pop top roof?
You secure your poptop roof using a strap and catch system. All of our Austops, Westdubs and Skyline poptop roofs use this system (with the exception of the Skyline Aurora which used a cam and catch system)
How to close pop top roof?
You Close your pop top roof by taking hold of the straps and pulling them down until the roof is holding itself on the gas struts. Then you tuck in the canvas of your poptop roof tent so that it doesn't get caught in the final closing stage. Then you fully close the roof and pull the straps through the dog clips. Make sure that there is no slack at all behind the dog clip before driving away.
